One of the main reasons I picked this messenger style bag above others is the ability to stow water bottles without having to purchase an accessory pouch. I use this bag to take not only my laptop, but also my water bottle and lunch to work. It works great in that role and still has plenty of room for more stuff. The shoulder strap is more comfortable than I expected and is a welcome relief for my shoulder! It's also nice to be able to stow a sweater/light jacket under the bag via the straps as the day warms up. I have a few products from Helikon Tex (also known as Direct Action) and I really like their aesthetic design. Rugged and ready for action, but not overly "tactical".The only downside is a lack of dedicated admin organization as it's basically a bag with large pockets. If you want separate storage for pens/pencils/etc., you'll need to buy a separate organizer. Not a huge deal for me, but it's good to know in advance.
